David's interest in magic started on a holiday in Blackpool, when he saw somebody demonstrating magic cards. A pack was purchased and the bug bit.

The interest was fuelled each year with visits to the Paul Clive shop on the north pier, Murray's Magic Mart and The House of Secrets, where his savings were spent on all sorts of miracles.

He was further encouraged by watching variety shows on holiday and David Nixon on television. With help and encouragement from Stan Marshall, David joined the Wolverhampton Circle of Magicians in 1976. He has since entered their competitions winning all of them. He became President of the society in 1981, 2001 and again in 2007.

In 1983 he worked as resident magician at the Hotel Indalo, Mojarca, Spain.

David turned professional in 1992 and has a vast experience in the corporate market, having worked at top class hotels and conference centres throughout the UK.
